Small Forwarder Stuck? DL’s 20 Pallets, 6 Days Air Freight to Middle East
Hassan, a purchasing manager at a new energy equipment assembly plant in Dubai, needed to ship 22 boxes of industrial robot servo motors – total weight 5.8 tons – from Shenzhen to Dubai. The cargo required anti-static, anti-vibration, and moisture-proof protection.
Earlier, Hassan had used a small freight forwarder for similar products. They promised everything at first, but actually they didn’t have enough booking resources, so the cargo got stuck. This time, he came to DL Logistics.
Hassan got straight to the point: the goods must reach his factory within 7 days, or production would stop. The key issue? The servo motors have internal encoders with 0.001mm precision, and parts like coils and bearings are sensitive to moisture and shock. Outer packaging had to be impact-resistant.
After the cargo arrived at our warehouse, we first inspected it. We confirmed the HS code is 85016400, non-hazardous, and noted the protection specs: waterproof rating IP65, anti-static voltage ≤1000V. We then repacked everything in 15mm thick export-grade corrugated cartons. We sent photos to Hassan, and he was very satisfied.

I told Hassan: booking space is the core of air freight to middle east. It directly decides delivery time, space stability, and cost. And DL Logistics, as one of the top five air freight to middle east forwarders, has real strength – 20 fixed pallet positions every week, and a steady 50 tons of cargo per week. Many tier-2 and tier-3 forwarders only have 2 or 3 pallets and less than 10 tons weekly. They simply can’t build a resource advantage. A lot of customers send goods through multiple layers of forwarders, and in the end, those shipments often come to us.
For booking, we didn’t need to look for any other agent. We locked the space on EK363 non-stop to Dubai directly from our own pallet pool. We submitted the booking request at 4 PM on the same day we got the order, and got the confirmation before we left the office – almost zero waiting.
I told Hassan: even when space is tightest, DL’s fixed pallets guarantee that our customers’ cargo gets loaded first. We control our own pallets – something small forwarders can’t even imagine.
After loading, I sent Hassan the “loading confirmation” right away, so he could track every step in real time. After arrival at Dubai International Airport, customs clearance and delivery went smoothly as planned. All in all, from pickup in Shenzhen to final delivery at Hassan’s factory, it took only 6 days.
After signing, Hassan said: “DL’s booking capability is truly solid. No waiting for space. Choosing a direct forwarder really gives you more peace of mind.”
